Do you want to learn to drive this year?  Now is the time to be booking lessons and getting things sorted if you want to fit it all in without a panic!  That applies particularly if you are a complete novice starting from scratch.

If you are looking to learn to drive then the first step is to contact a driving school or tutor in your area, as recognised by the Driving Standards Agency, (DSA).

There are many options available to help track down a good Instructor or driving school including recommendation, a local internet search of your area, telephone directories, and school cars seen in your vicinity.

Contact a few schools and ask a few questions. How much are lessons? What type of vehicle is used? What services are offered, such as night driving and motorway lessons?  Do they cover your area and test centre?  Can they fit in with your diary?  At JSF Driving School, we offer all of this, plus a free pick up and drop off service as part of the lesson, teaching only one client at a time.

JSF Driving School offers a free first lesson so that you can check us out before committing!   This ‘trial’ lesson can be very useful! It is very important that you find someone you are comfortable with as you will spend a lot of time in a car with that person   You can help take the pressure off yourself by writing down any questions or concerns that you may have in advance, and putting that piece of paper somewhere where you will remember it so that you can make the most of the free hour!   JSF gets you driving in that first hour too!

As with all professions, good driving Instructors tend to be busy Instructors! Be wary of Schools that offer loads of ‘freebies’ or ‘bargain basement’ priced lessons…why do they need to do that?

You will need to pass your Theory Test before you can apply for your Practical Test, but you can start driving lessons before you pass Theory Test. It is sensible to study the Highway Code before setting off on your first lesson, but actually being on the road will help put your theory into real life practice. A good Instructor will include theory practice in your lessons, and can recommend the correct support aids. The DSA offers further advice – CLICK HERE.

Learning to drive should be a positive experience, and even a fun thing to do, no matter what your age. Many people feel anxious about learning and especially learning to drive. A good Tutor will help rid you of your fear and make the experience an enjoyable one, which you will never regret.
Your JSF Instructor will design your training around your needs, so that you get the best value for money out of your lessons.  We are proud to provide quality lessons rather than quantity……which is why our reputation is so good! All JSF Instructors adhere to our Code of Conduct that will show the standard of behavior to be expected from the Instructor, from punctuality to standards of professionalism!

JSF Driving School can also offer gift vouchers, ideal as birthday or Christmas presents, or as a reward. Vouchers arrive in a personalized gift voucher card, and can help towards the cost of learning to drive or obtaining refresher lessons. The ideal gift for a loved one, vouchers can be bought for a single lesson or block bookings, and incur no extra charge.
